Re: Operation Centurion
41Sqn After Action Report. Uneventful takeoff and departure - apologies to the A10 for making them wait, but the first aircraft rolled on time exactly and then the others at 30sec intervals....takes a while to get five pairs up, sorry! The value of a well practised weather abort became clear when we...

Re: 8th Nov Operation SEAD and DEAD
After Action Report 41Sqn Overall, we aborted short of the target area due to the SA-15 SAM system still being up, the SA-6 was down but the SEAD guys had a job on to catch the SA-15 out and were low on fuel and Winchester. Therefore the Rolex 5 became an abort. We dumped our munitions in enemy terr...

Re: tornado sqn
On the 11(F) debate, I think you shouldn't use it for Typhoon or Tornado. I was on 11(F) from '84 to '88 and the only jet it should ever be here is the mighty Lightning!! (When it arrives)

Re: OPERATION RESOLUTION 11th OCT
After Action Report 41(F)Sqn After briefing and startup, taxy and takeoff were on time and SOP in two elements - 4 SEAD and 6 bombers headed for Tartarus harbour. Formation was good throughout in offset card. A scramble of Mig 29s caught the rear element as they launched within 20 miles of the route...

Re: Hola!
Hi Conor, the OCU/41Sqn fly RAF procedure and have an ex-RAF Squadron Commander on the staff, so depending on how far you want to go into the F18, we may be a good place to start.
Come and talk to us any time in the OCU Briefing room on the RAFAIR Teamspeak server.

Re: Hello everybody
Hi Lee and welcome to the group. As previously stated 41Sqn fly as close to RAF procedure as DCS allows and we are lucky to have an ex-RAF Squadron Commander on our staff as Boss. I run the OCU, which trains our pilots for 41Sqn. I'm also ex-RAF engineering staff and PPL but now stick to DCS. If you...

Re: All too much...
I'm starting to think that DCS is running the risk of becoming too watered down. By this I mean that the more aircraft you fly, the less depth you achieve in each - it has become a "sweet shop" of aviation that offers more and more variety all the time. The more aircraft ED put out (they are a busin...
