Re: Operation Badgers Strike - 15/02/22

Thanks Matt for a nice mission and for all your help and support on what was my first attempt in Squadron level planning. We were particularly impressed by how well the departure sequencing worked out of Vaziani. Correct order and couldn't have been more punctual. It was accurate to the ...second. T...

Re: Operation Badgers Strike - 15/02/22

3(F) will provide all-altitude CAP with 5 x F-16Cs, split into two flights (west and east), both north of the area of operations.

Re: Boctok 18th Jan

We have done this extensively In the past Duke and it generally worked. Problem is some squadrons might not have the numbers in any given mission night, to provide SEAD, strike and own CAP

Re: Boctok 18th Jan

Really enjoyed the mission. At some stage, we need to come up with a standard procedure with regards to intra-squadron CAP protection. It is virtually impossible to safely protect strike flights, when they have merged with Red Air. The risk of blue on blue is simply too high. We try our best to offe...

Anything between 250 and 270 kts indicated will work at that altitude

If it’s above A28, Mach 0.74-.76 is fine

Thanks again

Re: Zapad 2021 7th December

Thanks for a nice mission gents.

If this mission is flown again at some point in the future, please adjust the speed of the Shell-1 tanker. It was flying at 190kts indicated at angels 20. That's about the stall speed of a bomb-loaded F-16C at that height!

Re: 16-11-21 Operation Gauntlet - ReRun

Thanks for the live awacs Duke. You did a great job and your calmness is commendable!

Second half of the mission was so laggy that it became impossible to engage bandits. Hadn't seen it so bad in months

Overall, this is a very enjoyable mission. Thank you all

Uzi 3 2 kills with some help from 3 Sqdn, Thanks chaps.
Anytime Alien. One of my Amraams went stray and headed towards you. Sorry! It was a challenging furball where we were surrounded by Tomcats, not all necessarily bandits!

Re: Operation "ELLAC"

I also hope the THK F-16s are kept in the mission, maybe some F-4s or F-5s can be used too.

It was one of the most enjoyable missions for me, in terms of amount of RedAir and distances. Didn't feel bored for a second. Nothing to do that I am Greek by birth!
