Thanks lads for the night...

We didn't get reallly past the shredding over the airfield by i-16's.... I've run that miz with RED unchanged and never seen that before... DCS must have been messing with the Ai... for a machine that started production in the early 30's DCS had given the pilots 40x binocular vision and optical sights on all guns. A full bore climbing turn was the only way to shake then off.... Saying the spit's engine was bullet proof, full boost, full throttle for ever and no overheat?

Still I enjoyed it amongst the moans about the ai ha ha AND I kept 3 spit factories in production for the year...
Kind Regards
Chris :)

I dug out the Spitfire and had a go in early evening, in the hope to make it. But the jack boot came down, and for me the war was over and I had to watch the TV with the family.

Those I-16 can be formidable, despite their engines cutting out everytime they get a bit of negative g! Still, not to worry. I noticed recently that the spitfire goes horribly wrong if the RPM is on 3000 and the boost is on max for more than about a minute.

Any capable pilot , skilled and knowledgeable in the spit who would like to share their knowledge to others so, perhaps, a viable standing flight could be formed... please give me a shout here, PM or DM

Thanks
Chris
