Paul,
I have a training mission ready. I am happy to lead and try it Tuesday 8th Feb. Is that acceptable? I think you and Richard have flown it before. It will be new for Alan, and the new pilots.
Remember the bombing/gun range patterns Luis and myself developed some time ago?
I've changed the miz, and brief. Deleted the dummy a'craft close to the MK82 range target, and added 5 tanks parallel to a disused runway.
The mission will be flying two range patterns, and a single low level laydown
1. MK82 range pattern from 8000ft, 4 circuits, dropping a single MK82.
2. Low level laydown, single pass, against 5 tanks, with a stick of MK82 Air.
3. Gun/Unguided rockets flying a range pattern, maybe 4 circuits.
If you agree, I will circulate the miz and brief before 2300hrs Friday. Would it be possible to add the miz to one of our RAFAIR servers?

Paul,
Thanks for the approval.
Richard,
Hope you get it up and running. I gave your range miz a lot of thought. I'm tempted to just complete 1 or 2 attacks on the two ranges, goto holding, and act as range officer.
w000k is welcome.
My SRS seems to be working again.
I might be able to control 7 in the range, with accurate flying. Eight aircraft available.

Wee Neal, Falcon,
Both welcome.
I hope to be able to control 6 pilots in a circuit, at the same time. It will need accurate flying, and everyone keeping an eye on the circuit spacing.
Flight line could be myself, Paul, Richard, Alan, WeeNeal, Falcon, & w00K, making seven.
No problem. I'm very tempted to lead the flight into each circuit, just drop one bomb, and move to the next holding point. Then, I'll double up as range officer, whilst you all continue around the range circuits.
It should all make sense when you see the brief. Still putting the finishing touches to the miz and brief.
Watch this space.

All,
Here is the brief for Tuesday 8th Feb.
Sorry, I don't use Kneeboards, so cannot add them to the mission. You may have to make notes, especially of the 2 range patterns.
Hope to post the final miz, late tomorrow, after finishing touches, and testing.

Good brief, Geoff.
Wook, Wee Neal, and Falcon, the brief, it seems very complicated, but believe me, it isn't, it's a very good training session. I had a ball the last time we ran it.
The only tip I can give, if we dive bomb, DON'T GET TARGET FIXATED.
Paul.
