Not a problem, thanks for letting me know, besides that leaves more for the rest of us

Re: OP Badgers Strike
Not sure that i can make it tomorrow evening. What time is is set for?
In case I don't can you get some details of what ECS is. As I understand it we shout on 251.0 (or other designated frequency) giving our Bull's position and stating the threat.

Alan,
ECAS is a way for ground forces to get CAS on to a target when a JTAC qualified person is not available.
Its similar to a 9 line, but removes the unneeded jargon to give solely pertinent information critial for the targets destruction.
So in a basic sense, it's what i shout when i need help on the ground with jets available near by.

Re: OP Badgers Strike
Thanks, Matt. So it is a way for us to come to a ground unit's aid. Is this the same system we used last time we flew Badgers Drift/Strike/etc?

Re: OP Badgers Strike
Matt,
I would like to ask several questions,
1. Will En Force position be marked by smoke?
2. Will Friendly position be marked by smoke?
3. Do you intend to use range/bearing from Friendly 6 fig grid, to En Force position.?
4. Am I right in thinking En Force position will be given as 10 fig grid?

Re: OP Badgers Strike
Geoff,
To answer you question's briefly (i will explain in detail tonight)
1) Not necessarily, it all depends on what I have available to me
2) same above, depends on what i have at my disposal
3) Yes usually via a compass heading and range in meters i.e nearest friendly 1000M SW.
4) Usually yes, however if I was in contact i may shorten to a 6fig for speed
But i will go in to details when i brief tonight buddy (sorry for the short reply iam at work lol)
