I confirm to Tuesday 26th, if there is no last minute surprises at work.
From now on I have scheduled every Tuesday to be free to RAF Air.

All,
We now have 4 confirmed jockeys. Paul, Richard, Filip, and Luis. Possibly 5 with Alan.

If you have been following Duke's main forum post, you will see that our T/O time is ASAP, not 0604Z. As a precaution, I've also asked for Springfield TOT be moved from 0710Z to 0715Z

That will give you more time to destroy all the targets, so the rotary boys can approach the POW compound safely. Flight lead will be able to call Springfield to go to the POW compound when the AAA and vehicles are destroyed.

Paul,
Have you decided who will lead the flight?

My PC refused to be mended, no matter how much I showed my appreciation for its long service, by kicking the s**t out of it. Consequently, I am awaiting the delivery of a new one. The bad news is that it will take me a while to set it up. Consequently, Tuesday is looking questionable.

That's annoying for you Alan, at least you get a new rig to play with(when it gets here.)

I suspect my original system is recoverable. A cable came loose, then the 3 screen Helios set up disappeared, and when I tried to run a repair, it said that the current version of DCS requires at least Windows 8! Since it has, and always has had, Windows 10, this did not bode well.

I was just about resigned to running a full Windows re-install, when my wife said ‘Why don’t you get a new one - that one is old. After (not) much persuading, I gave in, gave her a kiss, and ordered one. I still have the chore of downloading, and installing DCS, and setting it up as I like it!

Alan,
Been there. Done that. It's a challenge re-installing from scratch, especially the "config" folder for joystick, throttle etc. I have just backed up my config folder to the cloud.

Are you considering using the old machine as an SRS server?

All,
Duke has posted the check miz on the main forum. I've checked it, and replied.

Please note the following changes. They just affect the tail numbers. The new numbers are:-

Flt 1 --- 016, 018, 020. Flt 1 lead climbs into 016.
Flt 2 --- 022, 023, 028. Flt 2 lead, 022.

I don't intend to issue a new brief.

I'm really sorry guy's, I've left it as long as I can but R/L as reared its ugly head, and I am not going to be able to make tonight's flight. Richard if you can make it, can you lead the flight, thanks very much.

What is it they say "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose you ??????"

Again many apologies.

Paul.
