Tidied up version of mission. No fundamental changes - just most of the bugs corrected (I hope).

Sorry, gents - I had hoped to have a brief out by this evening, but as you may see on the main Operations topic, I am again confused about the times.
I will endeavour to get the brief done asap. However, the route, weapons, and targets are reasonably straight forward - we just need to ensure that we are in same time (and time-zone) as everyone else.

Sorry about tonight, gents - it's a Bugger.

I never did find out what was the source of my earlier problems were. Suddenly, about 7-10 days ago it began working correctly and consistently, showing the usual servers, in their hundreds, including the RAF Air ones. I joined several times, with and without all the ancillaries running - TeamSpeak, TrackIR, SRS and Helios etc, and I was joining servers and operating for up to an hour. Then, suddenly, tonight, there were no RAF Air Servers showing. Tried restarts, eliminating all the ancillary programs, and even using my stand-by PC, and everything seemed perfect. I had even tried it earlier this afternoon - around 1600 and it was fine.

Using Connect to Server, I was getting a 'Server off line' notice.

Now I am back down to either only 40-50 servers showing, or none at all. I will try and see if I can find any data recording files that might give me a clue, and then try some of the forums for ideas.

Hope you had a good flight - I was really looking forward to flying with 97 again - sob - sob.

Don't worry about it Alan, bloody computers are a pain at times.

We had a good night. Targets were hit as planned and we both got home.

Thank you for your usual good planning

I have a pretty cast-iron steer as to where my problem lies. I used the DCS Problem page and got an almost immediate response.

The recommendation was to use a VPN. I use Norton Utilities which include a VPN. However, I recalled that I had found the VPN switched off a couple of weeks back - probably about the time when I was getting good Server contacts!

I therefore switched the VPN off - and got all the servers! When switched back on I was down to 20-30 again. Repeated this switching 2-3 times with the same result - It was my Norton VPN which was blocking me!!

I will contact Norton and let them know and will use the DCS-recommended free VPN in the interim.

Excellent response from DCS, took less than 10 minutes for the reply. I will post a notice elsewhere about the DCS fault facility
