Re: Op Resolution, Tue 11th October
I'll take a look Paul. I am still having problems with my set-up -notably in gaining access to Servers - which I am trying to sort out.
However, I don't think it will prevent me programming etc. I'll let you know asap if I can't.

Paul,
my apologies, I am on holiday from 6th - 20th October 2022, otherwise would have joined you.
Hope it all goes well.

Re: Op Resolution, Tue 11th October
Paul, I took a look over our 'targets', and despite the mission being termed OP Resolution I fear we will resolve nothing.
None of the targets I saw, and I flew over most of the harbour area, were actual DCS objects, they were all scenery. I put GBU-12s and Maverick on a wide variety of them - ships, buildings, cranes, and boats. All of them gave off flames and smoke, but 2 minutes after the smoke had gone and they were still standing and un-scratched.
There was no opposition, other than one lonely AAA gun, but I suspect the Red forces were not activated. All in all, this looks at first sight like a 'milk run'. I might even route us over the various gun boats just to give us something to kill.
I will produce the mission, but on this evidence it will not be very satisfying.

Thanks for taking a look, Alan.
I'm sure Andrew will add something to make the flight more challenging.

Re: Op Resolution, Tue 11th October
Paul & Richard. I have attached the plan for next week. It is fairly straight-forward.
A 4-ship, each loaded with 6 Mavs and 8 GBUs, plus the usual AAM and sensors. Take off last (1 min behind scheduled time). 2000 ft until we coast out, then 200-1000 ft (depending on vis), at a nominal 240 kias. Target area is harbour with 3 separate sites nominated attack-sites. Split at WP 5 (IP)
No1 will take N Harbour (WP 7) - specifically a cargo vessel head-on, using 2-3 Mavs.
No 2 will take S Harbour (WP 8) - again the cargo ship using 2--3 Mavs
No 3 will take on the AFVs - these are 5 BTR-80 and I suggest using Mavs and/or GBUs.
There are fast armed launches in and around the harbour, and we will deal with these with remaining weapons and/or guns.
I am not convinced the large ships are actually destructible, so we will call it a kill when each has been hit by 3 weapons (Mavs or GBUs).
There are also fast armed launches around in and to the E and N of the harbour. Any that you see you may kill. They are crap shots.
Not sure what might be overland so suggest all attacks from the sea, and turn out asap - that way we should not need to fly over the land at all.
Max AUW with 8,800 Lbs of fuel, but that should be plenty to get us there and back.
Let me have any suggestions for any changes you would like.
