Re: Server Update
The return was a hassle, we’d have been up and running within 48 hrs if it wasn’t for that.

Re: Server Update
My next ambition for our server setup will be a complete spare machine that can be used right away if we lose the main server.
I have a spare case, a less capable mobo and CPU and I think 8Gb of memory. We will need to improve on that, but just being able to transfer the SSDs over when required, we can avoid long outages at least.
I’ll keep an eye open for some 2nd hand bits to complete it all. I think a decent PSU will be all I’ll need to get it running, and in time, a SSD that I can clone all the info from the primary server, and we can then switch over in a matter of minutes. 32 Gb of memory would be handy too.
So, the shopping list will be a PSU, a 1Tb drive, we already have a smaller SSD for The operating system.
Once we have that built, outages should be history - unless I lose internet services or have a power outage.

I have a further 16GB of ddr4 3200 as well if I can ever find them from putting them away in the summer to paint the house!
