I can only thank everyone for their generosity.

We have now got all we need for the server, plus some spares to back it up with too!

Thanks everyone for your generosity. Very much appreciated!

One final request for the new server...

Does anyone happen to have a 1151 ATX DDR4 motherboard they don't need?

It is the only missing component for the server system, and it would be a pity to have to buy a new one when it is quite possible one of us has one gathering dust somewhere.

Thanks,

Neil

I'll look at mine Neil tomorrow and get back to you, the only reason I didn't send it is because there is a small component on the mobo that is attached by 2 wires , a black one and a white one that is then attached to a small black box which sits outside the case on the back, I did try and remove it, I don't even know what it is, I'll take a pic tomorrow of the mobo and see if I can remove it with out damaging it, the CPU I sent came off the mobo.

Hi Alien,

I bit the bullet and invested in a new one. It will be here today, so with luck and a good tailwind we should have our new server running this weekend.

Thanks,

Neil

It seems the PSUs I have available are all flaky, so I have ordered a new one for the server.

Still hopeful of getting it up and running this weekend however.

Well done Neil,

We have £75 left in the kitty so will ping that over to you to cover part of the MOBO and PSU.

Once we get more I will send the rest. Just let me know total please.
