2.7 Drops today

The change log for today's update has been released (Not the update yet).

It should be noted by all mission planners that no missions will work with the new version of DCS World. Whether it will be an open and resave job, or a major rewrite remains to be seen, but be aware that you will need to update any mission needed after the change.

I will delay updating the servers until we have a consensus here that we can bite the bullet.

Yes, we’ll not know until it finishes downloading what we need to do to update existing missions.

Missions created in DCS 2.7 are incompatible with old DCS versions.

So I assume if they're created in 2.5 we're all good.

Probably not. Weather, and some other features including triggers may mean we need to update everything. We shall soon see.

just resave them in 2.7 they will work, but wont work on older version after they have been used in 2.7

It's cool, I have a few evenings to sort anything borked I guess
