1. Mission group .

1.1. Mission group goal: To create a standard process enabling the development of a multi squadron mission within RAF AIR UK and to run 3 multi squadron missions a month within that framework.

1.2. Group leader: 0405 Andrew, Mission procedures: Ade . Mission writers: Duke.

1.3 To join the group, contact 0405 Andrew via the RAF Air website.

2. Mission requirements

2.1 An intel map will be produced detailing the regional scenario. Squadron Commanders will meet and be briefed on the scenario by the Mission Group. Briefing will consist of outlining situation, disposition of enemy and blue assets, the target allocation by Sqn and Order of Battle.

2.2 A Mission Fragment (FRAG) will be produced in the format approved by the mission group (a spreadsheet template is available). This will contain all the information needed for squadrons to plan their flight. Where squadrons are working together, please make sure introductions are made and that both squadrons are in agreement.

2.3 A forum post tiltled in this format -DATE followed by the mssion name - in the squadron flights forum, this must contain, 1. A description of the mission with some contextual background, 2. Numbers request from each squadron 3. attachments - intel miz file and Frag – and will be downloadable from the thread.

3. To get a mission running.

3.1 Propose a mission to the Mission Group with a timescale for delivery. Present the mission outline for discussion. If there are no inherent problems a date will be agreed and added to the calendar in the squadron flights forum.

3.2 Mission writer will create a forum post 6 days prior to the mission. Miz file and frag should be attached for download by Friday prior to the mission.
Questions should be answered promptly and the forum should be kept tidy.
Updated intel maps or frags should be kept up to date within the first post, and members should be pointed to that post.
An updated intel map showing the pasted waypoints for each squadron, (removing triggers and classified red intel) should be posted to the forum on Monday, this will enable squadrons to check their flights. Miz file may need updating if corrections are needed.

3.3 Mission night. Unless otherwise agreed, the mission writer or representative will be on team speak at 19:30. A short brief should be made to all detailing any pertinent points. Individuals will then descend to squadron channels for the squadron briefings. Server start will be at 20:00 unless there are issues to resolve.

3.4 After the mission, monitor the forum thread, encourage squadrons to produce an after action report, answer any posts directed to the mission group.

3.5 Learn from the mission. Missions very rarley run correctly on the first attempt. Look honnestly at the mission feedback and adjust if needed.
