What kind of maps do you guy's use?

I've only found one that I really like.
TC-1, as a 143MB png file.

Unfortunately it only covers the western part of the AO.
And i'm guessing it has not been updated in a couple of years. (mine show's June 2010)

David,

I have found it easiest to go into DCS, click on F10 to get the area map, and make a screenshot. You can then edit this map with Paint or some similar program and crop and print the sections you want. Detail is a bit limited, but I do find it useful.

I have located the RAF Tactical Pilotage Charts for the whole of Europe Asia and Africa. It was a link on the 132nd website, and here it is:

http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/tpc/euro ... index.html

If you click on the area you want to download, you can get hold of the TCP. As a resource, this is a positive gold mine!

To get you started, here are the three maps covering the current theatre of operations:

There is also an index for getting your hands on Continental USA (I'm thinking NTTR will be useful soon)!

Please note that they are not current, so please don't try using them for real world navigation! :D :D

If anyone is interested, maybe we could put together a bulk order for an A1 (59.4 cm x 84.1 cm printed map covering the area of operations?

I am sure Richard would know how to get some printed for us, and at a reasonable price. Can you show your interest here if you think £14.00 or thereabouts is not too high a price. I suspect if we order 10 or more, we'd be able to get them a little cheaper.

Neil,

Put me down for them. Although I suspect that the ONC F-4 might be more use for planning. It covers the whole of the area on a single sheet. I have printed it out and glued them together and the whole thing is not unwieldy. I have also printed out the sections from the TPC charts for the areas of interest - for example, a single foolscap sheet covers the whole Beslan - Mozdok area.

The latest version of Lino's Beacon map now includes AWLS channel data for the Harrier:
