I agree. I think we should wait for LoTATC to come out with DCS 1.5 and ensure we are happy with the systems working together. But yes I think it is a good idea.
David let us know if you work out anything about the volume controls and I could update the installation guide.

Re: Univers Radio
Indeed, LotATC is definitely a requirement, and we need to let the whole system evolve a little more yet.
I am however in favour of continuing to use it during operations to give it a thorough shake down. All agreed?

I agree.Neil Willis wrote:After last night's mission, does anyone have any comments regarding Univers radio and it's effectiveness?
From where I was sat, it looked to be stable, functional, and although there are still a lot of known issues (volume controls for one), it looks like with further development, it could be our first choice for comms.
What does everyone else think?
Only issue I had was when not in an aircraft (Game master) not being able communicate through Universe. Could be me or a 'feature', I need to investigate further.

Re: Univers Radio
I presume you'll go to LotATC when you're not in a ship as a rule?
Hopefully it will be available in 1.5 pretty soon now.
I also believe there is a radio console facility within Univers, though whether or not it works yet I have no clue.

Re: Univers Radio
LotATC will be released for 1.5 on either 14th or 15th according to it's developers.
Sounds promising for some testing with Univers soon after that then.

Re: Univers Radio
Have sorted my switch issues out(hopefully) so all should be good next time out.
I am away in Lake District until next weekend so will not be around on Tuesday.

Re: Univers Radio
Sorted out my strange UniversRadio problem. I will explain it here, in case anyone else has a similar mish-mash of symptoms.
I had installed a replacement monitor, which had a built-in speaker set-up. I don't quite understand why, but by disabling this, and a couple of other sound devices, the whole set-up worked fine. Why this extra sound channel should affect my USB and Bluetooth headsets differently is beyond me.
May be worth trying disabling unused elements of the sound set-up if anyone else reports strange goings-on.
I still prefer the Aries set-up, mainly because of the floating radio displays. I find the different-ears system a little disconcerting, but no doubt I will get used to it.
