I would go for a squadron that operated the lightning personally, seems more fitting

but there are no squadrons that operated the 14 and vulture squadron is the name of muttlys squadron in the cartoon and its a good patch. its as close as i could find i dint realise it had to be histrocail.

Besides iam feeling a tad left out as everyone else has a patch insignia

It doesn't have to be historical, I'm just saying as the RAF never had the F14 surely the lightning is the closest we had therefore I would have thought it seemed fitting lol

ohhhh i see ok back to the drawing board then if this one is no good :(

will wait for other brass to comment

I am trying my best to move raf air forward is all , by officaily adding the tomcat as a platform that we operate purly for CAP pursposes so the hogs can have Mig free pleasnt bombing sorties. Once decided upon i can then get to work with our skinning chap across the pond and get a grenic skin done for the cats, just like will did for 41 sqd using my skinning contact.

Or maybe this with the tail and roundall insignia or the other patch with the tail and roundall , i dont know. it seems every time i try do something i get hit by a brick wall

I can’t wait for the A-10s to get a Mig-free flight.

No - I mean I really [can’t wait - I’m getting close to 80!

Why not 24 Sqn - my old squadron - they flew fighters - back in 1918 - a bit before my time, I must admit.

The suggestion of 24 was a bit “tongue-in-cheek”, Mutley. Despite being nicknamed “The Fighting Cocks” they haven’t flown a fighter since the SE5a.

Way above my pay-scale Mutters. You need to lobby Neil and Richard.
