Guys,
I have just had an email from the folks that provide the website coding to say that they some new features coming up for their system. These new features will not be of any use to us, but it still means that I have got to upgrade the site to their new platform so that things still work at their end. They have asked that the upgrade be made before Sat 27th March otherwise site logins will cease to function.
Whilst this is a very easy process, it will almost certainly bugger up how we currently have the site and I will have to spend time getting things looking how they currently do. Don't be alarmed if things look weird for a few days. Whilst I am working on things I will disable the JOIN RAF AIR option on the site.
My plan is to ensure that I get the flight logging system sorted first. It may not look pretty but it will work. I can tart it up as I progress through things.
Please bear with me on this . May I suggest that you all make a note of any flights made etc for the next two weeks just in case there is a cock up somewhere.
Non of the changes to the main site will cause an issue with the Forum as they are on different servers.
Cheers guys

Re: MARCH 2021 IMPORTANT CHANGES TO WEBSITE
**UPDATE**
Everything now seems to have been updated and is working fine as far as I can see. If you find any issues could you please post findings in this thread.
Could I ask Beanie, Keule, Crowebar-892nas and Dinglee to redo their avatars on the main site. For some reason these are the only ones that have got screwed up.
Cheers

Richard, I am no longer able to log in to the web-site. It does not recognise my input name and.
/or passwords. It has also retitled the website as “MyVirtualAirline - vaBase.com”.
Any advice or solution?

Hi Alan,
Firstly clear the cache for images in your browser.
Then when you login it now requires your email address (NOT your ID) that you registered with which in your case was flyco@........
That should sort it. Could you please confirm all okay

One thing that has been changed in this new coding that we can use is the fact that you are now able to sort may of the entries using the icons at the side of the columns.
There is also a search option but this will not be as useful as the sorting.
