RIO Lantern Training

Post by Shaggy »

Big thanks to Father Cool last night being really patient with me helping to learn the Lantern as a RIO. We had quite a fun time making lots of mistakes but we got there in the end! Really enjoying the back pit now, its definately not as easy as Jester makes it seem!

No probs buddy it was good fun. Certainly not by the book and certain not the usual levels of concentration from myself thats for sure. I think it ironed out a lot of the gremlins of the RIO pit though so worthwhile!

that was shame Scoob's, me and Shane spent over 2 hours A-G training. We practiced the following.

TID Symbology and functions
Computer pilot dumb bombing
Computer target, designating, level flight and loft bombing
Lantern, designating, level flight and loft bombing with GBU12's (that was sweet!!)
Ripple settings and Release timings
Touched base on basics for using NAV Grid reference. Im still learning this.
