Because I can PAL (or VSL Hi/Lo) lock in seconds with one of my pilot thumb hats, I can tell jester to do it with the other hat but he mostly tells me to bog off if I do so I don't bother.

I think FC meant he never uses Jester "under" 20 miles, the point where pilot lock becomes a thing and Jester becomes an extra set of eyes only.
