Op Portcullis Counter-Air 2
Sqn Frags.
Situation.
Following the success of the previous attack on enemy air assets, it is confirmed that Iran have lost
the use of both Bandar-E-Jask and Fujairah airfields, all recon units south of Fujairah, one missile
destroyer and numerous air-defence units. In addition they have failed to break through our CAP
zones, meaning that our logistics supply line has been able to run uninterrupted – bringing in
munitions stocks and personnel to theatre. Their losses of aircraft are being felt far and wide, radio
intercepts indicating that Iranian aircrew are unhappy with their “probing attack” strategy and
confidence is low.
Intel Update.
Satellite, ELINT and in-country resources are reporting a noticeable change in Sqn and airfield
activity across the whole of Iran. Maintenance schedules and repairs are being rushed to put more
aircraft into service, fuel stocks are being upped to war-reserve levels and convoys of aircraft
armaments are moving from depots to airfields non-stop.
This elevated level of activity is being seen as indicative of preparation for an all-out air attack on
the Co-coalition Fleet and assets on the peninsular. A major air offensive is expected imminently.
#

11 Sqn is to provide two CAP zones to the immediate north east and west of the Carrier Fleet
between Wps 1 & 2, as this is where the brunt of the Iranian attack is expected to arrive.
It is anticipated that the enemy will attempt a strong low-level attack with Fighter cover to damage
our Fleet operations as much as possible. This would be a huge blow to our efforts to re-establish
stability in the region and could turn the tide in the conflict. Suitable load outs should be planned,
briefed and loaded at mission start.
11 Sqn will be supported by the OCU holding CAP in the centre to the south of the 11 Sqn CAP
zones to engage leakers and assist as required by OC 11.

verbal briefing will be given on ts aswell
