That's pretty good mate.

I know what you are doing wrong though, its throwing you off and it's so simple that you don't realise you are doing it.

If your stick is moving more than a couple of millimetres with each touch and/or you are moving the stick for more than half a second, you will dance around all over the place. I call it the wankers grip, you are actually holding the stick whilst doing it.

You only need a light grip or preferably a thumb and finger only. If you pull up to climb, you only need to nudge the stick that way, but, you MUST be ahead of the jet at all times, so as you pull back a millimetre to climb, almost immediately push it forward the same amount to arrest.

Once you are on the basket, look ahead and keep the pod the basket came out of in the top middle of your hud and the same size (which caters for throttle) and completely relax on the stick. If you have properly trimmed, you should only need tiny adjustments of both stick and throttle.

im not the best to give advice but agree with pongo, i literally use thumb and a couple of finger, my hand doesnt touch it either just finger tips.
iv also started turning the hud off before tanking, clears the picture out the front, i squat down in seat and look at the pod a the top and slightly right of centre in the front screen

A little strange, but I either whistle or croon (neither an attractive sound) - I can only assume it helps me to relax!
