Inaugural F16hter Bomber Competition

Post by Danny »

Inaugural F16hter Bomber Competition 2021

We have just completed the 3(F) Sqn fighter bomber competition. It was a last minute set of missions devised after a Top Gun remark from Beanie.
It was a bit optimistic for us to carry out all the planned sorties, given the time available, but we managed to get through 20+ in the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas.

The idea was to have an air-to-air and air to ground competition, covering the topics from our training syllabus, whilst at the same time having a bit of fun. The make-up of the plan is attached. We only managed to complete 50% in the time available, which slightly unbalanced the A-A/A-G scores.

It was extremely enjoyable for all who took part and there was some excellent flying skills on display.

Results

Overall Winner
Alistair "Red Rooster" Wright

Air to Air Winner
Dimitris "Grillman" Christoulakis

Air to Ground Winner
Alistair "Red Rooster" Wright

A very enjoyable set of nights, some great flying and awesome skills on display.

A special mention to Jack "Spyker" Joubert who finished unbeaten 1v1 PVP guns only and Alistair "Red Rooster" Wright for his pinpoint iron bomb accuracy.

Hopefully we can expand this, for later this year, to all RAFAIR Sqn's, if there is enough interest. Depending on participants we will probably begin mid-November.

Excellent, that sounded like a great competition.
It would be really good to see that as a multi squadron format.
