Recording Flights and permissions

Post by maggsy »

Gents
Can I draw everyone attention to Richards post regarding Recording Flights especially when they will contain the radio/ts audio outputs.
RAFAir UK has changed the T&G's to reflect this new stance, and mission planners could easily add the disclaimer that "This Mission may be Recorded for Training, Personal or Promotional purposes, if anyone has any objection then please inform the mission planner before the event.
I would ask if you intend to record a training session ( a good idea btw ) or a mission, you inform the Mission Planner and any other parties of your intention to do so.
The general opinion is that permission is granted by default and if anyone has any objections they can either opt out of the flight or request that they not be recorded but they would need to be informed before the fact that a recording will be made.
We are all grown up here and I expect us to respect each others wishes and privacy.
