3(F) Test Skins
Re: 3(F) Test Skins
Ok I've found a workaround for the little gray squares (and orange) where the bort numbers are.
The attached file is just the description.lua for each skin I uploaded the other day.
All you have to do is paste the un-zipped folder into you F-16 skins folder at:
C:\Users\[user name]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\F-16C_50
and say yes to all to overwrite the old description.lua
https://drive.google.com/open?id=12Q3Kr ... Rkl20hQiKy
I'll add this to the full skin pack in the future.

New update and additional skins.
Recent promotions and skins for Beanie and Muff added.

I'll build a new one package install with all the updates included in a couple of days.
Those who don't have personal skins, I will do them once you have your wings and are pilot officers.

Re: 3(F) Test Skins
There is a really efficient way of doing this but would take a bit of effort to set up. I would do it but my upload/download isn’t quick enough.john (scooby) wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 06:17 we need a sticky thread where each sqdrn can drop these files, il gladly put them all on my pc! i WANT to see everybodies skins
It also requires the use of OVGME, but from a quick poll in 3 Sqn not many people use it.
In essence you set up an FTP, link a repository to it from OVGME and store the skins there. The beauty of this system is the end user just checks the repository for updates, announced via a NOTAM, and only has to download the updated files.
The biggest issue is getting everyone to buy into OVGME.
I have the instructions from another Sqn that use this somewhere, if it’s something you would be interested in looking into?

Yes, this system needs to be implemented. Maybe OVGME can sit on the server in the background and we just hand off the files to Matt or something.Danny wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 08:06There is a really efficient way of doing this but would take a bit of effort to set up. For the ones who don't have the skin pack yet, you'll find all the current ones here.

Re: 3(F) Test Skins
I use OvGME for everything. It would be great if everyone bought into using it. Skin installation etc would then be a breeze for all.

Updated Skins:
Thanks to ED's latest update which arsed up the bort numbers again, I have updated the whole pack.
As per normal just a vague mention in the changelog, not very helpful.
Anyway:
Bort numbers fixed (low-viz, black and chipmunk)
Pylons and tanks now the right colour (low-viz) Still not part of official template, will probably change again when they release it.
Neil's skin added.
I would suggest you delete all the contents of the F-16C_50 folder (unless you have other skins you've downloaded) and replace with the new download.
