I have been tasked with getting Lantirn equipped F14's up and running in the squadron, this will use the pilot mod, which simply adds the option to map the RIO's Lantirn controls to the pilots profile to allow the use of laser guided munitions.

Over the next few weeks I will be putting together some manuals of how to use the Lantirn and how to set it up in the F14 using the mod and your hardware. I think that moving forward this will allow us as a squadron to grow to be more useful in future missions as we we will not be restricted to just CAP and air support roles which can sometimes be overkill with 6 or 7 11th squadron ac in the air. I will be asking Matt to add an A/G training section to our part of the forum so keep an eye out for that.

I can teach people how to use the lantirn from the back seat if you need it, but the f14 makes a good f111 for low level iron bombing

I'll bear that in mind cheers for the offer, however we are trying to negate the need to fly RIO at this point in time as it cuts down available XI ac for a mission.
