BMS Instructions (ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS)

Post by Sharpe »

All,
These files exist within the Falcon BMS 4.34\Docs in your BMS install file. But as Sapper has recently discovered, the BMS 'instructions' (broken down into several district documents covering in excess of 1000 pages) is very comprehensive.

I would encourage people to use these as a 'one stop shop' for information that perhaps cannot be found via videos or forums etc or for specific depth knowledge and or trouble shooting.

I have put the files here for ease of reference, to describe the purpose of each document and so that people can download links to their mobile devices if they wish. PSB:

Manual (Contains information on the Falcon 4 BMS front end, i.e. installation, configuration, user interface, how to set up the DTC, set up multiplayer etc).

Technical Manual (This Falcon 4 BMS manual contains information on managing the more technical aspects of the simulation. Focuses more on the Ui side of the sim, eg, controller set up, external display set up, how to work the mission editor, graphics set up, coms/radios etc).

BMS-Training (A supplement to the pre-set training missions including instructions on how to fly them and the systems involved in them. Essentially a 'quick reference sheet' for the much broader and deeper 'Dash 1' flight manuals).]

-1's (Dash 1s) (Yes there are TWO of them). (Collectively these are the flight manuals for the F16 covering aircraft, systems and weapons systems as well as some points of tactics etc. The F16CM-1 refers to the aircraft from a more mechanical and systems perspective. The F16cm34-1 refers to the aircraft from a more systems and weapons orientated perspective. If you need to know how somethings works, how to use a system, weapon, its limits etc, these are your documents).

Comms Nav Book (A special instruction set for reading departure/approach plates and how to use ATC functions and comms ladder. This is what to read if you need to understand how to use the comms feature in sim).

Happy reading - totalled its a light (quick bedtime read) of over 1,150 pages! You will all be tested this Tuesday :o ;)
