Best Screen Resolution?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the advice for Track IR users was to set screen resolution at only 1080 to increase your chances of picking up targets. Can anyone verify or deny this please?

Lower res kinda effectively means each pixel is bigger thus increasing spotting range.

I run 1080 in any case so wouldn't know any different.

I can confirm this. ED doesn’t do the best job of making aircraft visible on higher resolutions as they effectively drop down one (or very few) pixels, at distance. Therefore the higher the res of your screen the worse it’ll be.

Used to be a lot easier to spot on my old 1080p monitor vs my 1440p monitor and it’s even worse in VR.

Thanks guys. I run 1440p atm. I think I'll try 1080p.

Be careful if its a native 1440 monitor though as 1080 doesn't fit on it natively so you will end up with weird graphics.
