Hi Crowebar, they are references for the A-10 as we work with the MGRS(Military Grid Reference System) for co-ordinates, we can use Lat/Long co-ords but MGRS references are quicker to input into our Nav systems.

Hope this helps

P.S. can the F-18 use MGRS?

We can enter MGRS onto our nav system, but I suspect we will have the waypoints pre-programmed. We will be flying a SEAD role tonight in support of 3 Squadron. Secondary role will be to provide top cover once all the SAM threats are eliminated.

See you on deck.
