Mi-17 (Mi8) (HIP) TRAINING COURSE

Mi-17 (Mi8) (HIP) BASIC PILOT TRAINING COURSE starting this week with the option of continuing to Senior or Master Pilot. 4 are currently engaged so ff you are interested, give me a shout soonest :) It will be fun!

After several sessions this is going well with 5 lads quickly mastering the basics and beginning to look at more advanced techniques with high altitudes, max permitted loads, engine failures and pinnacle landings. Their well honed Huey skills are facilitating rapid progression. Great stuff!

The crazy bunch sliding into a staggered right paired 30° offset formation (due to having 1 left side gun and 1 right tail gun) 3000' ASL, at 40°C in august over the high plains. Note the 80 rockets and 6 Gatling guns per ship with maximum fuel. Yes, an unrealistic overloaded state but an AUW used in Afghanistan by the Russians when they had to. Incidentally all managed high helo platform landings in 0 wind with his configuration... sure we had a few impromptu bar-b-ques and then all was was spiffing good.
