Evening all
Its my turn for the next mission as Andrew is busy writing the joint one.
This one is, hopefully, a bit of practice and fun. I felt that we needed a break from the hard unrelenting tempo of war!
I wont let on the content but the mission title is 'Pathfinder'.
Hope to see you all on Monday?
Cheers
Neal

Re: 60 Sqn night - 18 January
If you run short of RW missions, I have one, for up to 4 each transport and gun-ship.
It runs for about 1:20 and involves: a mountain crossing (9,000ft); a low level valley run (low level to stay below the SAM, which we pass within 2 nm of); further LL to avoid roving patrols; a pick up of troops; and an exit again across a mountain range at around 10,000 ft.
I am developing it to use A-10s to scout ahead and knock out some of the patrols, but it can be done without them.
I can let you have a copy to look at it you want.

Hi all
I have now finished the mission, subject to logic checks and discussion with our training team (this to make sure I have not gone OTT!!)
It is as you all probably guessed a navigation centric mission, moving between 'stands or tasks' these tasks are familiar ones to us all and are there to practice our skills. Its all in the daytime, no wind (weather type only!), good weather. Its like orienteering for helicopters.
