8th November Vietnam Huey Night
Re: 8th November Vietnam Huey Night
Viet Cong Units have taken control of a Radio Station in the Ap Bac region of South Vietnam,
Your Objective is to transport South Vietnamese Troops to the south west of the Target and assist them to retake control of the radio tower and eliminate any and all ground threats.
Intelligence suggest around 100 - 120 Viet Cong armed with small calibre weapons are defending the tower.
Drop Zone will be marked by continous Green Flare when in AO
Slick Hueys, use CTLD Script via Radio Options to pick up "Huey Infantry" while at your starting location/Farp Dallas
To Drop Troops, land in drop zone marked on F10 Map and use radio options, ctld, extract troops,
Once troops are dropped you can either return to the farp and collect more troops to drop or assist with door gunners over the AO to eliminate infantry targets.
BUC Hueys, assist Slick Hueys by providing air cover and engaging all targets visually identified in the AO
Additional support provided by FW assets "Mako" "Dusty" and "Zulu", F5, A4 and F86 A/C respectively will provide CAS to any threat as required.
Smoke can be triggered to aid FW Pilots by F10 menu options.
Friendly Artillery and Mortar at your discretion can be requested by F10 Radio Options, 1 TIME USE PER REQUEST
12 M113 APC's will assist ground attack from the South West once you enter the AO
Mission start is 05:30
Temperature is 24 C / 75 F
Comms :
All Flights Common / FW ; 251.000 Rearm/refuel Min Vody
Slick Hueys ; 30 fm
Buc Hueys ; 31 fm
Buc Flight re-arm at Farp Perth as required
Slicks use Farp Dallas / London for troop pick up

Re: 8th November Vietnam Huey Night
Thinking we may need to ‘bracket’ the target area with smoke to help direct the FW on to target?

Re: 8th November Vietnam Huey Night
I will be doing game master role Neal so can provide smoke for FW if needed too. Mainly cause I can't trust the AI to just move along flat ground and shoot. Lol
