No the textures files are the same size so load the same. They are just better textures.john (scooby) wrote: ↑03 Aug 2020, 13:57does that mess with frame rates? mine looks like minecraft by comparison!Father Cool wrote: ↑03 Aug 2020, 12:51 I use this one, it looks so much better.

You can also use the replacement tree files on page 2 post #13 if you wanted as it makes the trees less standard DCS neon in certain conditions but they pop a little more due to the way the textures alpha channel is rendered in game.
Example of textures from the ED forum thread.

I’m more of a ‘Rise of Flight’ man myself - except that they go a bit quick for me nowadays.

If I get it the first thing I'll do is crash a 747 into my house. or land one on the green outside!

I have my license. It will be without VR until the autumn, and reading between the lines, not all systems will be supported even then.
But seeing the hype, who could resist?

I haven't been following this but do we know why Microsoft has decided to get back into the Flight Sim for entertainment business?
It seems a remarkable u-turn from when they dumped FSX, has flightsim become a cash cow since then?

Ive got it for kind of free! my kids have on my xbox account a subscription called Game pass, that means there are a lot of games that they can download and also a nice selection of games on the PC that I get for free.
