Looks like the Hind is close to completion.
I wonder if it will mean Scooby will be able to climb in a gunship?

Let's hope so - it would be good to have a baddy to shoot at during our multiplayer missions.

Helicopter armageddon has been every Monday for the last few months....
Would be good to see it come back every now and again. I had a lot of fun.

Some Mi-24s have been added to the generic missions - with "incMi-24" added to the file name. They can be loaded onto all servers via SLMOD commands.

60SQN Officers wish that squadron to stay with the Huey for the time being and not include the Hind.
Personally, I think that's good decision as the the Huey and the Hind are not really compatible with the same tactics however the Mi-8, Ka-50 and the Mi-24P are all broadly matched in speed, navigation equipment, common components and consequently all tactics can interlock nicely.
Is there is a need for a container to facilitate these airframes learning and flying together, say an 'Expeditionary Wing' (in or out of No.1 Flying Training School (Rotary Wing)) I would imagine a lot who have the Mi-8 will have bought the Hind or intend shortly to do so.
There is an existing training programme for the Mi-8 and UH1H / Mi8 Gunship and these could easily be joined to provide a validated learning pathway if wanted. The speed and navigation abilities of this trio should allow better integration into mainline missions / servers / other groups. I reckon there will soon be several pilots multi skilled in all three which gives more flexibility.
I would ne happy to provide appropriate missions and coaching on any aircraft if wanted.
Anyone interested (in engaging with any of the 3 airframes) in an Expeditionary Wing or similar please shout up!

Re: Mi-24P Hind
I've got the keys just sat there on the table, I've not had the time to even get in it yet apart from 1 flight.
As always I'd need another day in the week or a divorce. Neither are likely at the moment.
One day I hope to join you and I'll look on with interest when you get up and running.

As you know Gizzy I'm a strong KA50 fan so happy to rub alongside Hind and Hip people while they train or fly missions etc. Just name a day on forum or discord, or both and I'll fly the Shark
