Andrew, glad to have you aboard. You can fly as Pontiac 1-4, No2 of Geoff's element of 2. See the briefing a couple of post above for the details.
Geoff, the file you asked to see is attached - But don't let Andrew know I've shown it to you he might see it as unsporting!! (Not that I think it will do you much good, although I haven't looked myself to see if I can find them from the air). As I say just try and stay 3 nm East or West of that central area.

Andrew, if I had have known you were going to join us, I would have given both the mobile convoys to your element. I do hate looking for moving vehicles, on a 15-20 nm stretch of road winding through the hills!!

Alan
As we have different WP numbering, I believe Element 2 WP target numbers given in the brief are incorrect. It appears you have just used Element 1 numbering. For example, Element 1 WP6 (T2 SA-8) is WP5 in Element 2
My targets from the brief are:-
T2. SA-8 (WP-6)
T5. Convoy (WP-9)
T6. Infantry (WP-6) (Should be WP-10 for element 1)
Using my waypoints, my targets will be the same, but different WP numbers:-
T2. SA-8 (WP-5)
T5. Convoy (WP-6)
T6. Infantry (WP-4)
My main targets are all to the West.
Is this correct?

Re: Tuesday, 24/08/21 Operation Dengizich, Pilots Required.
Geoff, I don’t have access to the route at the moment. However, there is an error in my brief - the sixth target named in ‘Tgt Area’ should be T6 Infantry (WP-6). In summary your targets are T2, T5, T10, and they are all to the west of the area. T2 is your priority target.
When I drew up the route it was for up to 6 A-10s - hence the 2 Flights. I wanted to cater for more than 2 ac, but had no idea how many. The 2 ‘Elements’ are all from Pontiac-1 Flt ( I should have made this clearer - an element is normally 2 ac). Because of the uncertainty about numbers I needed to include all the targets within a single flight (which was 2 ac when I initially did it). A little confusing, but this way, even if only a single ac gets airborne it will have all 6 targets marked.
Just take out the SAM, the convoy on the western road, and the infantry. Then anything else you fancy.

Alan,
Noted.
Allocating targets and pilots is so much easier in real life.

Reporting for duty!
Just to put your minds at rest, I took an A10 flight this afternoon and brushed off the cobwebs. I should be able to hit something!
