Paul,
As we retreat from the targets, back along the river, there is a waypoint where we make a decision on who needs to take on fuel.

I do not feel competent to lead the tanker element, if one is required. I believe I will not require a drink.

As deputy lead, I would like you to lead the pilots who require fuel, whilst I recover back to base with pilots who are above Bingo.

Is this acceptable?

Geoff, thanks for the brief and miz.
In the briefing you refere to the main briefing and frag. I could only see the timeline ( download/file.php?id=5700)
Another thing I'm confused is about the route lenght (345 nm) compared to other jets. Isn't Gaziantep where the Harriers are a choice for us?
I understand that now with all the work inputed is better stay as it is, but for a next run, maybe?

Thanks.

Luis,
There is no main briefing or FRAG at the moment. I put that in the brief as I expect Andrew to post both before Tuesday.

Gaziantep is just on the doorstep. It's neutral, and I did consider it as a diversion.

We just do 2 attack runs. No patrolling or searching for targets. I expect to log under 2 hours for the flight. Once the mission commander has said we take off from Hatay, that's written in stone. The only reason for change would be if it led to mission failure.

Thanks for reading and checking the brief. Much appreciated.
