Hello fellow pilots

Post by ScreamAimDead »

Hi all,

A little about me In a previous life many years ago I flew grob tutor planes as a hobby. I ex military infantry only I'm afraid but always wanted to be a pilot so that's why I got in to flight sims.

I played DCS for some time learning myself with a few educational videos to understand how things work such as missile tech and radar.

I been out of it for about a year now as flying solo got a bit dull. Someone from this group gave me this group on a facebook page for star citizen so definitely looking forward to learning it all again and getting involved.

I currently have f14 tomcat, AV-8b harrier and F-16.

Main thing for me is re learning to be a more capable and productive member here but leaning more towards f14 or f16 squadrons.

Thanks for reading hopefully meet you all soon

Welcome to RAF Air.
There's a great bunch here that can certainly get you up to speed with the harrier, F14 or F16.

Welcome!

For the 14s we have 11(F) Squadron that is a part of the Carrier Air Wing with 892 Squadron that flies the F/A-18 Hornet.
CAW use the Supercarrier module a lot in operations and training.

We usually fly 1930 GMT on Tuesdays and Thursday. You will often see people on throughout the week as well flying various airframes.
Alien is the CO of 11 Squadron, feel free to leave a message to any of us if you want to learn more.

3(F) Squadron employ the F-16 and I believe Danny or Beanie can tell you more about how they work.

Welcome to RAFAIRUK.

There are 3 Sqdn's that would be very happy for you to sign up to

1F AV8B
3F F16
11F F14 ( CAW Joint Ops with 892 NAS F18 ) All of which have trng programs to help get you up to speed in your given airframe,

If you haven't already I would suggest you have a look at this thread viewtopic.php?f=359&t=4597 , I would say the first thing you'd want to do is get Teamspeak setup then you can jump in anytime and have a chat and then get directed / steered to where you want / would like to be.

Whatever you decide no doubt we will meet on the pan or in the sky.

We have a couple of new guys so you've come at a good time.
