"Hello There....."

Post by Ripper »

Good Morning everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself, been a avid fan of DCS and flight sim in general since Microsoft flight simulator 98' / Combat Flight Simulator. I am very lucky to work in Aviation / Airline in the real world.
My preferred aircraft is the F-18A (Top Gun Maverick has not been an influence ... I swear :P ) but have flown the Harrier in a previous period.
Anyway, if anyone on here is looking for another 'Wingman' or target practice buddy I would be happy to help. I might need a little refresher training if so ;P

All the Best,
Ripper.

Welcome Ripper!,

I'm sure some of the CO's will be along to tempt you into their squadron :D

Have a great time, enjoy and I look forward to flying with you in the near future!

Hi Ripper,

Many of us are of that certain age where we remember MSFS98 and previous works of art.

We have two F/A 18 squadrons 41F and 892 NAS. Contact Ade or Gizzy.

And of course there is 1F for the Harriers, contact Matt.

Don't forget to download the mods needed for the server and TS and SRS. viewtopic.php?f=359&t=5386

I hope to see you in the air soon. Just shout if you need any help.

Cheers
Andrew

Hi Ripper,

Would you happen to be the SA Map Ripper? If so, what took you so long to join mate?

Look forward to flying with you soon.

Hi Gents,

Many thanks for the responses, I'll get in touch with the appropriate people :P

Unfortunately, no, not the same person - I am a entirely different person :)

Cheers,

Hi Paul, Welcome....... :)

As I'm sure you have seen RAFAIR caters for many airframes and flying styles, take your time and look around for what suits you best... If the F18C with a naval bent interests you give me a shout and you'll be most welcome in 892NAS and Carrier Air Wing (CAW).

892 Naval Air Squadron stands up within RAFAIR UK equipped with F18C Hornet operating mostly from DCS Super carriers. The Squadron fly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings around 19:30 UK time for training and engaging multi-squadron missions - Of course pilots are active throughout the week, often in other airframes too!. We encourage common training environments with other squadrons and recently established the CAW Carrier Air Wing with 11(F) SQN flying F14B Tomcats.

PM here or via Discord on https://discord.gg/gfEHxNMbN3me and arrange a meet and I will soon get you sorted with required MODs, STS, Teamspeak and such and introduce to the motley crew... Training is at your pace and myself and a large group of enthusiastic guys will encourage and fly with you all the way...

Some eye candy to whet your appetite.... video courtesy of SHUGS (892NAS)

Kind Regards
Chris :)
