A few video tutorials that don't cover weapons systems etc.

The first explains in detail, how to employ your autopilot facilities:

The next discusses the SOI (Sensor of Interest) facilities:

This one is about the SPI (Sensor Point of Interest) facilities:

This one describes roll out techniques:

The subject here is basic take-off techniques:

A take off and approach speed chart is available on page 8 of the amplified checklist which is available in the useful documents thread on this forum: http://www.rafairuk.co.uk/downloads/DCS ... s%208b.zip

The topic here is the electrical systems in the A-10C:

Here's my 5 to 6 minute start-up.

David,

Very brisk. Do you always use ground power? It certainly speeds things up - I always seem to have to wait for the Nav system to align. Is Ground power always available - if so, I shall have to amend my start up sequence to use it.

There are also a lot of additional useful adjustments you do to the sub systems etc early, which can only help once you get airborne, which is when I usually remember to do them (Auto-Lase, L/L to MRGS, Laser Latch On, etc)

I shall have to run your clip in slow time and try and follow it in detail. Any chance of you adding an audio of what you're doing, so us slower ones can keep up?

Yeah, I normally use ground power, and it's always available.
This to get CDU & Comm's up and running as soon as possible.

I prefer to get most of the sub-systems sorted, there's usually time as one wait's for engines or the CDU to spool up.
Leaves more time for fancy flying or fancy leading.
Some of it is of course personal preferences like the HUD tapes and VVI, slew rate on TGP, and the second TAD window w/o map.

Got issues with my push to talk in my recording software, can't bind it to my warthog. I might do one with a hot mic, but then I'll have remember what all them buttons are called :).

Yep! Those are all the things I intend to learn how to do on my solo continuation rides, then I get bored and finish up doing aeros, trying to fly and find my way home without aids at less that 50ft, go under HT cables, and shooting up random targets. Lack of self-discipline! That's why I prefer flying with a team - it keeps you honest (or relatively honest)

Appreciate this is an old post, but having just joined the world of DCS I had to learn the A10c 2 from scratch, and the linked play list helped me out greatly. Highly recommend it to anyone learning the A10c 2
