Helmet Mounted Sight & TrackIR

Post by Flyco »

I use Track IR, with a non-linear relationship between head movement and direction of look. This is to allow me to look aft at up to 180 degrees without losing TrackIR lock, as well as easing my ageing neck joint.

With the Helmet Mounted Sight (HMS), I lose sync, so that by the time my TrackIR view is at 90 degrees the HMS Is around 50-60 degrees and has moved out of my direct line of sight.

Has anyone found a way around this. I do not want to switch to VR, because I rely on knee pad (real - not electronic I information.
