Now the worst of the bugs have been eliminated, and we have the server upgrade nearing completion, it is time to get back the the joint mission operations on Tuesday nights.
To that end, would mission writers who have missions suitable for joint ops, that can accommodate sufficient airframes please nominate them for use please?
It is intended that we should resume normal ops on Tuesday April 7th.
Thanks
Neil

Well done lads.
From personal experience it is not easy getting things up and running again after major changes.

Re: Return to normal Tuesday joint missions
We’ll find out with a little pre-sortie testing that all is well.
Fingers crossed.

Re: Return to normal Tuesday joint missions
Neil, I am trying to Modify Op Northern Clout. It originally had:
2 Flts of A-10Cs
1 Flt of F-18s for CAP from Stennis
1 Flt of F-14s for CAP from Carl Vinson (I am trying to check if the F-14s can fly from Carrier and launch Phoenix AIMs.)
I am trying to add:
1 Flt of land-based F-18s for SEAD
1 Flt of Harriers for low-level airfield attack (probably from the Tarawa)
1 more Flt of F-18s for deep interdiction and/or 1 Flt of F-16s for interdiction
This is a total of 28-32 slots (not counting RIOs).
It will not have been tested very thoroughly, but are you happy with that, or would you like any changes.
An early (and definitive) reply would be welcome.

Re: Return to normal Tuesday joint missions
Thought I would post this here too.
Never tried to launch from the Carl Vinson. Can give it a try later.
All missiles launch fine, the usual loadout for CAP is 4x AIM54C, 2x AIM7MH and 2x AIM9M however we have on occation gone for 6x AIM54C as the Pheonix is also pretty effective close range if need be.
With bags the F-14 is good for 2 hours plus on CAP provided we dont get into a knife fight.
We do have 6 pilots who fly regularly so may need more than one flight?
We also have the ability to use laser guided munitions for ground attack via the lantirn pod.

OK, thanks for that.
As I understand it, you can't launch more than 4 aircraft from each carrier at present.

Re: Return to normal Tuesday joint missions
Thats correct until the new supercarrier comes.
Is there provision for 2xF14 running something from a land based airbase?
I don't know how many are going to fly on Tuesday but just thought that I would give you a heads up on how many we have avilable if we all show up.
