Re: Tuesday 28th April 2020
OK, I have given in to the wails of the under-represented and put in 2 extra F-16s - and an extra Heli-Barge and 2 extra Harriers.
The two extra F-16s are programmed to follow the main four at an interval of 2 minutes to ensure all targets are hit. However, there is no reason why they shouldn't fly together if preferred. Oh, and I there are not enough F-18s to take out the SAM at Maykop you will know who to blame.
Similarly the Harriers are programmed separately and seem to work OK. I even took my life in my hands and flew one of the additional Harriers on a test run to Sochi (without weapons!). Got airborne and flew it OK (after over a year since I last flew the beast). Couldn't remember how to make the gun work, so all the targets are still there. Also, despite my great daring, couldn't get it onto one of those stupid little barges, so went to the Stennis to 'land' it - I reckon most of those dents in the deck can be hammered out before tonight!
If the Harriers want, they can re-arm and refuel after their return, and then join the A-10s in the 'Valley".
P.S. There are no JATACs in Northern Clout.

So far, I count 6 for A-10C, 6 for F-14, 3 for Harrier, and 3 for F-16. Given the outcry for extra Harrier and F-16, this is a little disappointing, particularly in view of the fact that there are no takers for F-18s in the critical SEAD role.
There are 24 Migs, plus the L-39s lined up against us! Given this and the 4 SAM-6s, I foresee a lot of hot-shot pilots getting 'early baths'.
If there are no takers, I will fly a 'SAM-Hunting' F-18, but I cannot promise great results.
