Interested as an F16, however it is ground strike which I haven't covered as yet...could fly overwatch while the rest of the F16's run the strike?

Very good mission. Our problem was the server crash late on into the session. That, plus the Harriers and Hornets operating from carriers have a nasty bug. I’d recommend we relocate them to dry land unless we get an update to fix it soon.

I hope you haven’t got too much water damage to sort out there Flyco.

Yes most of Uzi diverted their start to Kobuleti as the Eagle was horrible. We got two off the deck but just. I think that the speed of the carrier is set too high as it was shaking the planes all over the place and last time we flew this mission it was going a fair rate of knots when coming in for recovery.

It is a new bug. The carrier needs to be going at a lick to give 25 knots of wind over the deck.

I have my carrier set at 20 knots always and have no problems whatsover with it. The Eagle last night was doing 40 knots and the aircraft were bouncing all over the place. I bearly stayed on the boat while aligning and then it was in the hands of the gods getting it hooked up on the cat.

Thanks for the input from last night, guys. The current RAF Air Server doesn't have Tacview installed and so I am limited in what I can get from last night's mission. If anyone has a Tacview track from last night I would be grateful.

I take it there was no SEAD last night - bad idea! It helps the A-10s, the F-16s and the Harriers - that is why it is there.

The carriers were all doing 25 kts into a 10-11 kts headwind. I keep it high because I have found it difficult getting a Harrier off the deck if it is first in the line and heavily loaded. - but that might just be me. I also like to keep the carriers together for realism and to keep the defending destroyers to a reasonable number and so avoiding the Red ac from cheating!

Well done the F-16s, for taking out the SAM at Maykop. I have found that you can defeat it if you are steering at it at very low level, by dropping behind a tree or a building for even a half second. You obviously need to pop up for the weapon delivery but the SAM-6 cannot engage very close in. Anyway, you found your own solution.

I saw no sign that the Harriers made it to Sochi - was that the shaking carrier problem? Not met that - do we know if it is just the server?

As I say, without a tacview input or more detail I cannot look at the problems. So all input is good.

We did carry out some SEAD work initially. Our problem was huge delays getting into the air due to the dreaded carrier bug. Short term answer will be to move everything onto terra firma until the super carrier team irons out the multiplayer bugs. Perhaps like the F-18s, the Harriers needs second flight available at Sukhumi? That would tide us over for the present.

It seems theTACAN bug is still haunting us too. We were reliant on the F10 map to recover.

I’ll install Ito the server this week so we can shorten/eliminate the delay. Does anyone have the license for the server copy available should I need it?
