Re: Tuesday 11th August 2020
I have amended the original Northern Clout to cater for fewer ac and the absence of the F16s. The outline of the mission is shown on the attached document. This should be read alongside the original separate Flight Briefs, which were published in the Forum for the last time we flew this mission, which was on the Jul 2020.
I would ask Flt Cdrs to read the appropriate brief and be ready to brief their Flts in accordance with these. There will not be an opportunity for a comprehensive brief this evening. We will however, have to allocate members to suitable flights so as to keep the balance of the mission.

Too bloody hot here to fly tonight I am afraid. It was roasting flying choppers last night, and was much cooler than today, and there’s a bloody great fan on top of a chopper too!

Re: Tuesday 11th August 2020
Well done everyone last night. An excellent start with some really quick aggressive SEAD, followed by some good air-to-air. As a consequence the A-10s were not bothered by any red fighters and knocked out around 75% of the ground targets, with only 25% of the A-10 force.
The only problem is that after that display, we are going to have problems persuading Command to task the number of aircraft we need for future sorties.
