Group Captain Neil Willis - RAF Air UK
Re: Tuesday 8th September 2020
Given the very variable turn-out we have had for the Tuesday Missions recently, I would be very grateful for the earliest indication of the number likely to fly on 8 Sep, and their preferred aircraft.
There will be:
up to 2 Flts of A-10s on grd attack (6-8 ac)
up to 2 Flts of F-14s from a Carrier for CAP (6-8 ac)
a Flt of AV-8Bs from Tarawa for airfield attack and hunting down R/W (4 ac)
a Flt of AV-8Bs from either Sukhumi or a Carrier for airfield attack (2-4 ac)
a Pair of F-18s for SEAD flying from Sukhumi (2 ac)
a Pair of F-18s from SEAD flying from a Carrier (2 ac)
a Flt of F-18s for airfield attack flying from a carrier (2-4 ac)
a Flt of F-16s for airfield attack flying from Sukhumi (2-4 ac)
I will adjust the mission to Match the number and type of ac. The only essential ac are the A-10s and F-14s
Can I ask squadrons to canvas their members and let me know, by 1700 on Sunday 6 Sep, approximately how many ac they can provide.
I appreciate that 3 Sqn will probably not be able to fly, but if there is any lone 'gun-for-hire' that would like to try an F-16, there will be some available.
Please respond in this Thread and under this Title (Tuesday 8th September 2020)

I will be there on Tuesday. Happy to fly Tomcat or Viper if there are enough Tomcat pilots around.

Matt, no sweat. I would like at least 3-4, for the main attack on Sochi and R/W stuff. But if you can scrape together 6 that would be great. It looks as though we will get no F-16s.

Re: Tuesday 8th September 2020
No problem Alan, I will see who is available and update you as soon as, I would anticipate 4 with ease, hopefully 5 or 6 if RL allows.
Also if possible can we request an airfield to start from due to a spawning issue with the Tawara which only allows two multiplayer Harriers to spawn on the ship at one time (which obviously makes a real time consuming process to get all aircraft in the air and also ruins any TOT for us)
