Andrew,
I've had a look at it and tbh we can hit the Hercs while in orbit over WP1, It's not that big a detour to make, so we'll stick with what we sent.

After an emergency vote in the HoC, MP's have authorised strikes against Iranian targets.

The Prime Minister had opened the debate insisting Britain must decide whether it wanted to take on the "evil" of Iran, or "wait for them to attack us again".
He refused to apologise for saying opponents of military action were "terrorist sympathisers" but said there was "honour" in voting for or against military action.
He also defended his claim that there were 70,000 Iranian fighters in Oman, saying it was the estimate of the Joint Intelligence Committee - the UK's senior intelligence body.

But the opposition leader accused the PM of rushing the vote because he understood "public opposition to his ill thought-out rush to war is growing".
And he disputed the PM's claim about ground troops, saying it was "quite clear there are no such forces" and only extremists would take advantage of the strikes against the people of Oman.

RAR Air have raised concerns about delaying strikes, however the earliest date they can be undertaken is Tuesday at 8PM after a film show.

RAF Air Tasking 22nd June

We now have the go ahead to strike the targets as planned.

The Arleigh Burke will launch a cruise missile strike. Targets being hit at 07:30

A follow up SEAD strike should hit anything that was missed. Be aware of returning SEAD F18's. Also be aware that cruise missile strikes and SEAD aircraft may not hit all SAMS so be on your guard.

Reports suggest that ZSU-23's have been landed in Oman and other air defence may be present over strategically important sites.

This is the opening phase of operation Oh Man. Losses to our aircraft will not be politically acceptable. If a target is too well protected return to base.
Oh Man will be pulled if losses are considered too high.

OCU AAR

Uneventful route in although we kept close tabs on the action in case anything turned our way.
Arrived at target a little early 12sec by my clock. Targets were hit successfully.
One ac had tech problems (no SA, no wpn release), so wpns jettisoned over the sea and he remained in formation for protection.
Formation RTB/RIAB, parked up. No losses.

Thanks to Andrew and the organisers of tonight from all the boys.
Sometimes stuff is supposed to fall off....sometimes not.
I still can't be sure which... :?

I hope it wasn't too tame for you, it's a very fine line between getting home and a massacre!

Please all submit an AAR if you can.

Also if you can spend a moment filling in the feedback form it will make sure we are heading in the right direction with the Tuesday mission.

Having looked at the TacView, it would appear that the Red Cargo ships jumped the gun, and were dozens of miles to the south by the time the A-10s got into the area.

Not that it would have made much difference in my case, since I screwed up the weapon prep, and I think I set parameters for just one GBU-12, rather than for all of them as a common profile. Stupid Boy! I think we need a tricycle on the pan for the next sortie and I will just ride around on that for an hour and a half.

Well spotted Alan, that group may be heading to next weeks landing grounds. The only thing I can think of is Paul sank them all before you completed your second orbit.

Squadron leaders / pilots if you can write an after action report here, not only will it help steer missions the correct way, but it will also help other squadrons understand how you fly your missions and may have some impact on future planning.

Thankyou to the 9 people that responded to the questionnaire. Results here:

It's good news, the servers and SRS are working perfectly apart from one report of lag, but that may be local.

How often the missions should be.

Sign up is through the squadrons, please contact your squadron leader if you do not know where to sign up. All squadrons use different methods. Squadron leaders please make sure your procedure is clear. Personally I'd prefer to see a sign up thread for each squadron on the website. This will give the mission planner an indication of attendance and will also help other squadrons understand each other.
