Palmyra Attack
The Syrians have a chemical weapon storage area 4.5 miles NW of Palmyra.
One consignment has left in a convoy of 3 groups and is heading to a prepared storage area for later use.
RAF Air have been ordered to destroy the Chemical weapon storage area, 550th Brigade army units and the convoy.
Diversionary attacks will be made to assist the main objective on an Early Warning Radar south of Hama and on Tiyas Airbase infrastructure. A secondary target for 1F & 11F would be the army group West of Homs.
Syria have a robust but dated IADS network.
Attacks on the Syrian air defences should be made to enable the completion of the mission if required.
It has been assessed that all primary targets can be hit by flying low level.
View here for an assessment of the Syrian air defences http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Syria-SA ... yment.html
Lebanon has agreed in exchange for aid to allow the use of Beirut Intl and Rene Mouawad airports as a temporary staging area for this mission. They are concerned about the use of chemical weapons close to their border.

Please note:
New members, please sign up with your squadrons. Speak to sqn CO for information on how to do this.
In the FRAG there are instructions for joining the server which I hope may fix the missing unit issue. The server will start at 19:50 and squadrons will join in the order specified in the FRAG over the next 10 minutes. When planning be aware of the mission time and TOT but note that the mission will have run for 10 minuets before any one starts up their aircraft. This will affect moving targets.
When planning miz come back T/O time will be adjusted where needed.

IADS Script
This mission will be using the IADS script to make the air defences a little more realistic.
This mission is an introduction to IADS, this is not a SEAD mission to dismantle the IADS, however air defences can be taken out, but the IADS script here is a simple version and will only have Early Warning Radar and SAMs implemented with one point defence SAM included.
The script will track incoming airplanes using the EWR included in the miz. SAM units will be given this information from the EWR and will stay silent until a plane is in their engagement zone. So for instance a SA6 will not be searching for you from miles away giving away their position making HARM attacks a little harder.
I have included the detection graphical overlay in the intel Miz, if you have a practice you can see how the script works. This will be removed on mission night. It tells you if you have been detected, how long ago, how many EWR's SAM's are in the system and how many are operational.

Andrew, the completed input for 97 sqn is attached.
Four ac (Boar 1 to 4) - more would be overkill and too crowded in target area.
T/O time is 0539 (Z), for a nominal TOT of 0607 (Z).
