Your timing should be just about right there as I can see that SA10 powering up probably around 0515 to 0530 zulu depending on when our flight 2 arrives near Beslan.

Hi all, can all squadrons taking part in the mission please get their miz files over to me by mid day tomorrow? This will allow me time to add in your aircraft and tweak the mission for potential pilot numbers etc before Tuesday night.

I will produce a list of events and timings this afternoon. Basically 2 flts of 2 on the ground attack, and a flt of 2 on the SEAD.

Everyone has there squadron briefs squared away so I haven't wasted my time sticking in any changes to timings etc however I have ensured that freq's etc are correct for the tankers and airbases etc.

Not a good night for the A-10s, other than our SEAD hero, who took out both EWR and the SA-10 - well done Richard - I knew I should have flown that slot.

We knocked out both bridges in good time, and left for new targets. However, the train (unseen by us) mysteriously flew over the busted bridge and delivered its SA-10s to the station. We were not watching the station because we knew that there would be no SA-10s delivered to Senaki that day, they were stuck on the other side of a busted bridge, weren't they?

We then found a very great deal more mobile SAMs and ZSUs scattered around than were indicated by the Intel, and all 3 A-10s were batted out of the sky. Were we down-hearted? No, we were not! Not until we got airborne again and returning to the fray were all swatted once more by the miraculous flying SA-10 set-up.

Then we went home - muttering under our breath.

Yes I thought that you had taken out the bridge however DCS is a fickle mistress.

A: You cannot use a train to trigger an event so had to base the trains arrival on its planned arrival time at the station and work back.
B: In order to trigger the said event I instead had to have the destruction of the bridge set a flag so that the timer would not spawn the SA10 convoy at train arrival time.
C: You cannot set a trigger based on destroying a scenic item (thus bridge) so I set an infantry solder on the bridge to use as a trigger, he gets killed, sets off the trigger.
D: Somehow you take out the bridge but manage to not kill the man stood on it by a whisker. Flag doesn't flip.
E: Flag says train got by ok so unloads the train.

Unbelievable coincident of events. You would kill that bloke 999 drops out of 1000. What can I say! As for the extra SAMs I think there was only one SA13 by the command centre that I forgot to mention. The others were on the convoys as fragged.
