No scripts, but those SA15 may be difficult.
Funny how things turn out, it will be you attacking them!

There will be a simple overall brief. But you will need to speak to your CO who has planned your flight. He will brief that.
The FRAG has your Take off time and Time on Target.

Code words for SEAD/DEAD will be.

3F,
Northern SA6 - GERONIMO
Southern SA-6 SITTING BULL

892,
SA-6 - BREAM
SA15 - COD

I hope it went well for everyone. It was a very simple mission, but they can be good fun if nearly everyone comes home after a job well done.

Please can I have feedback on the server start, running 1/2 hour early. It looks like there was no issue. I hope it was clear in the Frag . If this worked I'd suggest we run it like this from now on.

I see poor old 97 were left out on their own for too long, sorry about that one, I should have worked the times out a little better and had you taking off mid pack. Alan, I hope you didn't get to bed too late.

892's tanker went well with most of us having a drink, having it spawn on trigger worked very well, if any squadron would like to incorporate this in to a mission, I'd suggest you place a tanker in with your miz file set up for speed and altitude and let the mission writer handle the triggers.

It didn't go well at all for Uzi, we came on station near Hama to find that there was an enthusiastic SA10 installation right in the middle of our CAP. We spent most of our flight trying to avoid that guy throwing missiles up at us left right and centre. Our bogies were the other side of it by 50 miles or so and to the south much closer, whereon as we moved ourselves away from the SA10 ended up with Mig 29's coming up below us. Needless to say we were taken down by those with little resistance.

I was surprised that given our CAP location that that particular SA10 wasn't targeted for SEAD in the FRAG. I called in for an assist but all SEAD aircraft reported that they were Winchester on HARMs.

A by product of not having an overall Commander, something I've been mentioning for years as it should not be the Mission Writers responsibility. The mission writer just sets an overall goal and perhaps objectives to achieve the overall goal but that can just as easy be done by the commander.

At the SQN CO's pre-planning meeting last week such a role (Air Commander, Strike Commader, CAG, whatever pedantics' fit) would have overseen creating the plan that can achieve the set objective. This planning process would have agreed necessary CAP zones and consequently any conflicting Air Defences.

Out of this process falls the FRAG with specific unit taskings to achieve the objective.

892NAS had the necessary spare capacity at the start but used those on other non fragged SAMS that may pose a threat to 97.

Without mentioning it too much, I've said it all before and unless the dots in a plan are joined up it will not change. That is part of the rational for CAW, where more joint training interaction facilitates easy planning on both personal and formal levels.
Kind Regards
Chris :)
