Testing DCS comms on a Tuesday "mock" mission

Post by Duke »

As the title suggests, is it worth one Tuesday there isn't a mission trying to all meet up as if there were on ts, then all jump on a Rafair training server and see if we can all get the new dcs comms working. I have nothing against srs but its one less programme to be running during missions and if no live awacs or atc there's no reason not to try it out right? Just not on a "live" mission just yet...

60 Sqn tried on Monday, with only partial success. The issue seems to be where it was linked to the intercom. The Grim Reapers have done a nice little YouTube video that talks you through the process.

Chris,
Just tried it on RAFAIR Server 2. Cockpit indications looked like Grim Reapers video.

Can't see why intercom wouldn't work unless you didn't bind a separate button for it? If there's only a couple of responses then not much point trying it anyhow just stick to srs I guess

I'm not sure tbh Geoff but can ask Neil if it's allowed on server in current state

We didn't have a lot of luck trying it out with 60 sqn. In my opinion it would be a waste of time at the moment.

I believe Neil said that the mids channels don't work at the moment either.

Indeed, it needs some development yet. No sound effects, no attenuation, no MIDS channel or AWACS radio support.

It does however work well, and will definitely be a feature we will use once it is completed.
