UPDATED PLEASE READ Operation Persian Storm Intel / First Sortie

Post by Duke »

Disclaimer - This is a fictitious event and any resemblance to events from the past are purely coincidental.

Time period - 20th August 2021 (First Sortie)

Local time 22:30 (server start)

Light / Scattered Cloud at 7,000ft for approx 1500ft

Temp - 19c

5 knt wind from 307’ at ground level

First sortie will be to degrade Iran’s air ability by striking all major airfields within a 10 minute window,

Rafair and JSW are tasked with engaging south Iran’s airfields whilst US and other coalition forces are engaging Airlfeds to the North including Tehran Int airfield.

Concurrent strikes will take place on radar and communication installations 15 minutes prior to our sortie TOT

Mission Plan.

Targets / coords / mgrs grids and TOT's listed in Frag to follow

Priority - airfield runways and parked f/w, r/w aircraft.

Secondary priority long and short range / AAA defences to be engaged at your discretion to aid your effectiveness

All multirole aircraft ( F-14 Uzi, F-18 Enfield, F-18 Chevy, F-16 Chaos, F-16 Ford are responsible for providing minimum 1 aircraft for CAP / Escort and will provide BARCAP north of respective ground strike targets during / once airfield strikes have been achieved.

BARCAP to be maintained until 97 Pontiac, 801 Saxon and 1 Colt have confirmed sortie complete and are RTB.
CAP aircraft then exit BARCAP AO and RTB

IMPORTANT - DUE TO THE PROXIMITY OF IRAN'S SOUTHERN AIRFIELD'S THIS IS NOT INTENTED TO BE A LONG SORTIE WITH SQUADRONS LOITERING OVER TARGET AIRFIELDS FOR EXTENDED TIME (Longer missions will follow as we push deeper into Iran)

Strike aircraft ( AV8B and A-10 will need to confirm when they are task complete ant RTB to allow all other squadrons on CAP to RTB behind them providing cover if required.

Tanker support is not available until air superiority has been established over the area

Yes, there's also Iranian F14 possibility so everyone needs to be confirming hostile before firing

You have designated Cap zones. Please make sure you read the Google briefing and look at the miz file showing those zones. Leaving your cap zone is a big no no unless specifically requested by another squadron If they're overwhelmed etc

Yes, JSW run a F16 squadron designated 11sqn, for ease of comms however they are and will always be "Chaos" callsign along with "Saxon" who are the AV8B squadron (801) on these missions

11sqn F-14 bombing runway at Havadarya Airfield then hold BARCAP north in you sector. CAP is your area of expertise but I would suggest all squadrons racetrack around from target airfields to 40 miles north then back again.

As stated your priority is to cover the Harriers and A10s once you've destroyed your runway, but not to go off on a jolly 300 miles north leaving a big gap for enemy air to enter.
