12TH APRIL 2022 19:30 Operation Persian Storm Sortie 2
Re: 12TH APRIL 2022 19:30 Operation Persian Storm Sortie 2
The SA15s are not currently being engaged (by AI etc) but can be engaged by 892 with whatever weapons they see fit. They're also being controlled by humans so if there's only 2 from each squadron for CAW they will be toned down somewhat.Father Cool wrote: ↑08 Apr 2022, 13:05 Duke,
Please find 11F's miz file.
As a side note will the SA-15's near the target site be taken out before we get there or do we have to deal with them.

Currently there is only me and Scooby flying for 11F but don't know if you want to add an extra 2 ship in case we get someone turn up?

I'll also make sure there's 4 minimum 11sqn jets

Hi Duke,
This is the planned sortie for Colt. A request: is it possible to have a tanker close south of Khasab? We want to top off before we move into Iran.

So, lets just say a complete disaster of a mission for all but 3f from looks of it.
Not enough people from 892 or 11, but I accounted for that and had very few red air coming their way, unf just as red air came their way Scooby game crashed and Neil, then Father Cool were shot down by SAM leaving the tidal gates open to 2 F14A's and 97 squadron in front of them. I tried in vain to get the AI F15 and Mirage who had been ruthless in all testing to intercept the F14s but of course when needed they were useless. So 97 squadron started getting targeted but didn't alter course until to late so were mostly taken out. Hopefully those that survived found the convoy and engaged some of it.
1f don't know what happened but looked like alot came in way below the SA15's max ceiling and were taken out, although I didn't get a chance to view what happened really as was trying to salvage something for 97sqn
I also experienced alot of lag and repeated (2) game crashes despite only being sat in F10 map most of evening.

Is never easy to set missions for a group, the main idea for the mission seem great and with a good structure. So, from my point of view, I thank you for the effort and time, also for all who were involved for this mission to be possible.
One note: the hostile F-14's crashed into the mountains on their way north... after shooting me down.... I guess is the Karma

Still I bombed our targets when I got back up so not all lost.

Had a really good time thanks duke. Hit all our targets and some extras to spare. I saw you shutting down the sa15 radar in my tgp but a bomb was already on the way. On the way back we all hit the rubber banding tanker and took on enough go-go juice to make it back. Sadly my game then crashed a few miles from home so I didn’t get to land.
Thanks buddy, looking forward to number 3
Andy.
